Such a great player and person. Glad to see him back for another year. He has still competed with the best of them and is still producing. Glad he knows when to quit and not make a joke of himself.

Love selanne, but you feel bad when he starts spouting off the "unfinished business" speech and yet he is coming back to a coach who is a notorious playoff bust and quite possibly the worst adjustment coach in the NHL

The guy couldnt even GET to the cup with arguably the best offensive player in the world in OV along with guys like Carlson, Backstrom, Green, Semin, Alzner, Laich, Federov, Wideman, Fleischman, Knuble, etc

Guy has had no shortage of talent, and still cant find a way to get to a conference final

Sorry Teemu, but youre wasting a year of your life if youre trying to win a cup and you think your current corps is better than the ones he has worked with in the past in WSH.

A 40+ year old selanne, minus Ryan, Perry, Getzlad, Beauchemin, Fowler, Etem, Silvferberg, Sbisa, and aging Koivu isnt better than the 09 and 10 caps teams

yea, 121 pt teams commonly have 1 player and no goalie

step back for a minute and realize how dumb you sound

Maybe, but Jagr is ahead of him with 681 goals.

If I was Selanne I would sign for $2 million knowing that I have a job for life starting next season. If he's looking for the $4 - $4.5 million he's made the last three seasons in this reduced cap year he's kidding himself. I love the guy, but his play is fading fast.

You're welcome Teemu. If you need me to help with any other negotiations/decisions just give me a buzz. I'm there for you.

I don't see any other coach doing better with the Caps.

The Caps core looks good on paper, but not guys you can win with.
